Blessed To Be A Blessing

The cornerstone of my personal theology is "blessed to be a blessing." I truly believe that God has blessed me with God's unmerited love and grace and with unique talents all of which are to be shared with others to the glory of God and to be used in the on-going work of the Kingdom.

That blessing, however, is not just mine alone. We have all been blessed to be a blessing.

First of all, we are all the recipients of God's love and grace, given to us with no strings attached. God has chosen to love each of us, with a love that should overflow into the lives of others.

Secondly, each of us has been given unique and special gifts with which to serve. Yes, all of us! No one is left out when it comes to these gifts.  We all have different talents, and all are blessed.  There will never be another person like you in this world, blessed to share as uniquely as you can.

The problem is that we often go through life with blinders on, unaware of our own gifts and unaware of the needs of others.  Our constant prayer must be that our eyes are opened again and again to ways in which we can share the blessings that are ours.

This sharing begins right here in our own congregation.  There are needs here.  And we need your gifts!  What can we do to be the blessing we have been called to be?  This is the question we must continually ask ourselves.

I feel so blessed to be called as your Pastor. Diamond Lake has been blessed with a beautiful church and a renewed spirit.  Together we can celebrate our blessings and help each other discover how we can share our blessings with each other, with our church, and with our neighbors.  We have so much for which to be thankful, not the least of which is a new and exciting future together.  What a blessing!  Thanks be to God!

Together, we can see where our gifts are, use them, and pray for open eyes, ears and hearts.  Let's LIVE OUR FAITH!

God has blessed you to be a blessing.  Believe it, show it, live it!

God's Peace,

Pastor Mark
